The system centralizes all the information in a database hosted in the cloud, and covers both street furniture data (sidewalks, roadways, stairs, railings, curbs, etc.) and information related to the company’s work teams (personnel, machinery, actions carried out, costs, etc.). QGIS plugins have been developed to manage the database in an easily accessible way, allowing both visualization and editing.

This includes customized tools to obtain calculations and analysis of the database. On the other hand, a web viewer has been developed with data query and layer visualization capabilities. This viewer is oriented to personnel external to the system management, so they do not have permissions to modify data.

The project includes the shooting with 360º cameras and GPS in vehicles, information processing, video editing and enrichment with dynamic positioning data. In total, more than 55 hours of footage were recorded in about 300 sections.

360º videos with positioning data are useful for the review and maintenance of any road infrastructure. If they also have positioning data, they allow to locate with greater precision the possible anomalies or points of improvement detected.

These recordings are also a widely used tool for security audits.

Project phases:

1. Planning and preparation of the vehicle for data collection.
2. Recording of geo-referenced 360º videos.
3. Processing and editing of the information. Enrichment with positioning and mapping data.
4. Orderly delivery of all the videos sorted by sections.

The project includes the realization of Mobile Mapping shots implanted in a vehicle. Once the data is collected, it is processed, stored and made available for use by the maintenance team using specialized software.

In addition, to facilitate the work of the technicians, a specific data model has been developed to assist in the inventory, data completion and measurement tasks.

Project phases:

1. Preparation of the vehicle for data collection.
2. Data acquisition.
3. Data processing and LRS (Linear Referencing System).
4. Design of the data model and implementation of the data exploitation system at the customer’s site.
5. Training and license support.
